Abstract
The study intended to realize the relationship between teachers-parents communication and the effect of teaching in elementary schools’ teachers in Nantou county. The method of Questionnaire survey was adopted to investigate the current situation of teachers-parents communication and the effect of teaching in elementary schools in Nantou county, and to analyze the differences of individuals’ perception. Finally, related discussion on teachers-parents communication and the effect of teaching with the correlation among the variables.
The target population was teachers from public elementary schools in Nantou county and the method of stratified random sampling was adopted during April to May in 2014. Therefore, the researcher distributed 530 questionnaires and received 504 returned copies out of 513 effective samples, which accounted for 95% of the population. The instrument was “Teachers-parents Communication and the Effect of Teaching in Elementary Schools in Nantou County Questionnaire” made by the researcher. Data analysis included mean score, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation.
According to the results of data analysis, the conclusions are summarized as follows:
1. The current status of teachers-parents communication in elementary schools in Nantou County is very good.
2. The current status of the effect of teaching in elementary schools in Nantou County is very good.
3. On teachers-parents communication young and unmarried teachers need more efforts, and serverd as teachers during sixteen years to twenty years is better.
4. On the effect of teaching female teachers, married teachers, teachers graduated from university, and serverd as teachers during sixteen years to twenty years is better. However the young teachers need more efforts.
5. There is a significant correlation between teachers-parents communication and the effect of teaching.
Based on the results of this study, some suggestions are offered for educational administrations, school educators and future researches.
