Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教育學系 === 102 === This study aimed to understand mutual trust on the current situation and the influencing factors between teachers and parents carried out in elementary schools in Taichung City. The research method of this study was questionnaire survey. The formal questionnaire were 362 copies sent to both elementary schools’ teachers and parents, and 290 copies was returned respectively. The paired samples T-test, independent samples T-test, one way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation were applied for analyzing data. The conclusions of this study were below:
1.Almost 50% of the teachers and parents consider “pretty good” about the relationship of mutual trust between teachers and parents.
2. The result of influencing factors in mutual trust are considered as very important between both teachers and parents in elementary schools in Taichung City.
3. As regards with the current situation of mutual trust in elementary schools in Taichung City, there are some significant differences in teachers’ demographic variables, such as students’ grade, school scale, and school district. And there are some significant differences in parents’ demographic variables, such as gender, children number, grade, diploma, vocation, and school district.
4. As regards with the influencing factors of mutual trust in elementary schools in Taichung City, there are some significant differences in teachers’ demographic variables, such as students’ grade, school scale, and school district. And there are some significant differences in parents’ demographic variables, such as gender, children number, grade, diploma, vocation, and school district.
5. There are positively correlated on the current situation and the influencing factors of mutual trust between both teachers and parents in elementary schools in Taichung City.
6. Both teachers and parents in elementary schools in Taichung City considered the views of coping strategies about mutual trust of the current situation and the influencing factors are as follow:
(1) More than 80% of teachers and parents consider that“teachers and parents can not only care each other, but also care children”, and that can balance the relationship of mutual trust.
(2) More than 80% of teachers and parents consider that“children are getting better and better”and“children can share daily”can promote the relationship between teachers and parents harmony respectively.
(3) More than 80% of teachers consider that“attitude”and “communication” can affect the influencing factors between both teachers and parents. And so does more than 80% of parents too.
(4) More than 80% of teachers consider that“using communication channels greately”and“strengthening the parent-teacher cooperation”are the ways to improve the trust between teachers and parents. And so does more than 70% of parents too.
(5) More than 90% of teachers consider that“good parent-teacher interaction”can improve the trust between teachers and parents. And so does more than 80% of parents too.
Based on the results and conclusions, there are some suggestions for school administrations, teachers, parents, and researchers in the future.
