The research for the spatial patterns in the chinese language textbooks by the content analysis. The textbooks contain grades 1-6 by three publishers, Nan I (Nan I Book Enterprise Co., Ltd.), Kang Hsuan (Kang Hsuan Educational Publishing Co., Ltd.), and Han Lin (Han Lin Publishing Co., Ltd.).
