The upgrade of quality of the content is performed to solve the bottleneck issues on continues growing. The new character is adopted and expected to catch the eye of audience. In the chapter two, the indigenous animation producers were investigated with what activities did they practiced in the recent decade. They showed aggressive attitudes to execute the innovation and modification of the script. The new thinking, point of view, and modern element are merged with the traditional style to transform the indigenous animation into the high quality one with diversity, deep thought and distinctive character. Those new elements in the upgrading indigenous animation show the difference between the foreign animation and the upgrading indigenous one. The upgrading indigenous animation is expected to be able to stand up to foreign one. The Taiwanese indigenous animations which are published in period of 1998 to 2011 were investigated in the study. The two major items consist narrative strategy and narrative topic were adopted in the study to analysis the content of the indigenous animations The first part in the study is the analysis of narrative strategy. The narrative elements normal used in narratology were adopted in the analysis of narrative strategy in the Taiwanese indigenous animations. Three narrative strategies consist of education-oriented, indigenous links and diversification were concluded in the study. In the chapter three to five, the study shown the edutainment is an essential prerequisite for the indigenous animation. The elements of indigenous characteristic and foreign animation were merged together in order to meet with acceptance of public. The second part consists of three chapters is the discussion on the narrative topic. The three methodologies were adopted in the analysis works. They are Maslow's hierarchy of needs proposed by Abraham Maslow, concepts of alienation and return proposed by Perry Nodelman, hero's process by Joseph Campbell and identity process proposed by Rhys Jenkins. The three narrative topics consist of love, growth and identity were discussed with the three methodologies. Love is the topic in the chapter six, and the relationship between the people to another one was discussed in the chapter. The relation was built based on the friendship and the clash and hurt occurred during the progress were cured by love. Growth is the topic in the chapter seven, and the life transformation of leading role is passed in the three stages. The three stages are living in home, leaving home and returning home. Identity is the topic in the chapter eight and the mentalities of the roles in the animation were analyzed from inside to outside. The characteristics of the indigenous animations were concluded based on the two parts consist six chapters in the study.
