| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 旅遊健康研究所 === 102 === The major purpose of the research was to discuss and rank the preferences of leisure activities for college students, then to compare the different results of different background variances. The study extracted 572 college students from Taipei city and New Taipei city by convenience sampling, and the data obtained in this study was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t test and one-way ANOVA through SPSS 20.0. Based on the previous studies, the leisure activities were collected and organized as 60 items and the ranking began from 1 to 7. The formal questionnaire was modified from the pre-test one. The results indicated (1) travel abroad was the top preferred leisure activities. (2) in terms of gender, male favored go to the movies and female preferred travelling abroad. The gender differences would contribute to the significant variance in public entertainment, outdoor recreation, literary activities, to advance health, social and artistic activities. (3) as for majors, those who majored in liberal arts and social studies favored travelling abroad while those who majored in technology preferred go to the movies. The major differences had significant preference differences in public entertainment, literary, social and artistic activities. (4) in terms of grades, the freshmen and the seniors (the fourth grade) strongly favored travelling abroad while the sophomore and the seniors (the third grade) preferred listening to the music or radio. Different grades brought forward the significant differences in public entertainment, promotional health, social and artistic activities. (5) as for indispensable income, for those who owned under one thousand dollars preferred eating; those who could handle ranging from over one thousand to three thousand dollars preferred travelling abroad; those who owned over three thousand dollars to five thousand dollars preferred chatting on line or through cell phones; for over five thousand dollars, they preferred go to the movies; the dispensable income differences would contribute to the significant variance in public entertainment, outdoor recreation, literary, promotional health, social and artistic activities. (6) the preferences of leisure activities for college students can be divided into eight types. The results of the study revealed the present status of preferences of leisure activities for college students through self-evaluation. The authorities suggested that gender, majors and grades should be considered when legislating leisure educational policies, then make adjustments so both dynamic and static activities could be balance. Meanwhile, particular leisure facilities should be increase according to college students’ preferences. It’s also important to counsel students to participate in diverse studies through club activities. Last, give more concern and offer assistance to those who needs financial support.
