Most of them are physical disabilities. Following the population aging which is unprecedented and pervasive, the issue of providing an accessible and friendly environment is urgent and significant. The purpose of the study is to investigate travel constraints and tourism demands of physical disabilities. The survey examples are physical disabilities who are aged 16 or above. These questionnaire templates and survey samples are designed by our team of experts. People are contacted and surveyed using two modes: by the Internet or by paper questionnaires, delivered in person or in the mail. There are 187 effective questionnaires which were returned. The statistical analyses methods include descriptive statistic and four-quadrant to understand travel constraints and tourism demands. According to the study result, what worried physical disabilities the most is structural impediments such as no accessibility equipment. These barriers include stairs, raised building entrances and steep inclines that prevent access to buildings. For providing a convenient environment, the most important need is accessible elevators in the result. Other needs which disabilities are concernd are accessible transport options, accessible ramps, accessible entrances/exits, and an easier way to getting travel information. And then we build a health tourism resources platform based on the survey result. The first thing is making keywords’ priority for tourism demands and travel impediments which include “accessible toilets,” “accessible transportation services,” “accessible ramps,” “accessible entrance/exit,” “accessible elevators,” “spacious sidewalks/paths,” “accessible dining areas,” and “accessible hotel rooms.” The development platform is built on a Linux operating system which includes the Apache web server, the PHP programming language and the MySQL database. It is also designed for mobile device users. Moreover, the platform contains several travel services such as food service, housing service, traffic service and amusement service. Not only does it provide basic data, but it is also combined with the Global Positioning System (GPS), so it provides GIS Mapping for users. Thus, the platform provides real-time services for user needs. It makes that more and more people pay attention to accessible tourism. Furthermore, it creates a better and friendly service environment. It lets disabilities with access requirements to function independently and with equity and dignity through the delivery of universally designed tourism services and environments.
