Adopted Quasi-experimental design, and pretest-posttest control group design, then collected data from October to December, 2013. Research targets are registered nursing students of nursing institute in north Taiwan, their ages are between 20 to 50 years-old, they are not taking any medicine, no smoking, and no cardiovascular disease. There totally 75 samples, via purposive sampling, for test group, there are 38 samples took Laughing Qigong activity 20 minutes each time, once a week, continually for 12 weeks. for control group, 37 samples kept their normal activities. Data collected in following two ways, structured questionnaires, and physiological measurements. Research tools are subjective choice PSS, and HRV measurement. Proceeded pretest results for all samples before intervention, and posttest after 12 weeks intervention. The result is analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results were: 1. Test group with Laughing Quigong has no significant difference in HF Norm, LF Norm, LF/HF and PSS comparing pretest and posttest results. HF Norm decreased, LF Norm and LF/HF increased, it is not obvious to improve ANS, there is no difference in PSS. 2. There are also no significant difference of pretest, and posttest for both groups. Test group's (with Laughing Quigong activities) HF Norm decreased, LF Norm and LF/HF increased, it is not obvious to improve ANS, there is no difference in PSS. Control group’s HF Norm increased, LF Norm and LF/HF decreased, it is not obvious to improve ANS, there is no difference in PSS. Conclusion : The results and discussions of this study can be a reference for Laughing Quigong intervention for registered nursing student in the future. Hope activity details can be improved, and environment interrupts of students can be reduced, then it can support Laughing Qigong related studies to fetch more precise results, and analysis.
