Objective: To analyze and evaluate whether various health promotional activities are helpful to upgrade the residents’ life style to help interpret the outcomes of the health care programs in Songshan District ,and to evaluate the result of the five-year intervention from 2009 to 2013 based on the health community indicators for 33 neighborhoods in Songshan District, Taipei City. Method: Questionnaires distributed to residents of Songshan District and aged 20 years or more in 33 neighborhoods in Songshan District, with 20 copies per neighborhood. To utilize the questionnaire distributed to 33 neighborhoods in Songshan District to carry out the comparison of basic data, evaluation on health indicators, and analysis on the development, degree of development and differentiation of indicators to evaluate and review various indicators. Result: The coefficient of Cronbach’s α in the study is 0.815, and the detailed coefficient for community environment 0.714, and 0.079 for community organization and energy, and 0.756 for community health service, all of which attained the high reliability. Through the five-year intervention of various health promotion policies, the scores for the community environment, community organization and energy, and community health service in the health community indicators were raised in 2013. As a whole, since the official promotion of the Healthy City development indicators and construction of a healthy community in Songshan District in 2009, the Healthy Cityindicators in 2013 show clear differences and significant improvement and progress. The evidence clearly indicates that the Healthy City has made remarkable progress in Songshan District. Conclusion: The survey results of 2009 and 2013 show that the intervention of Healthy City in Songshan District did upgrade the residents’ health. And facilitate the connection and interoperability of local resource networks and aim at the sustainable and mutual development in Songshan District.
