Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北商業技術學院 === 財務金融研究所 === 102 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of board of director's prior international acquisition experience on the company's mergers and acquisitions performance. I employ the sample of cross-border acquisitions and mergers which has been done by public listed company in America during the period 2001-2011. Besides, I use the board independence and directors' shareholdings as interference terms, exploring how this affects the relations between international experience of directors and companies international mergers and acquisitions performance. The assumption will be tested by a multiple linear regression mode. The result shows a positive the impact of board of director's prior international acquisition experience on the company's mergers and acquisitions performance. Furthermore, I found positive moderating effect of board independence and director’s shareholdings on the relationship between international experience and international merger and acquisition performance.
