For facing more stringent regulations in drinking water in the future, it is important issues to reduce DBPs level and to supply high quality drinking water in distribution system. The major work is divided to two parts in this study. The title of first part is BACF system; it was to study pretreatment of organic matter for reducing DBPs formation potential in raw water of river surface water. The second part is to study the performance of BACF-UF system applied to water treatment process for removing the residual DOC and THMs and HAAs in treated drinking water. In testing period primarily in laboratory for treating organics in raw water using BACF, removal of DOC, UV254, and SUVA were 33.54 ± 8.27%, 44-52% and 26-30%, respectively when HRT was extended to 6 hr. In addition, removal of TCM and BDCM were 46.11 ± 12.81% and 20.79 ± 18.83%. These results showed well efficiencies of THMs removal using this method. The removal of HAA5FP ( major species were TCAA and MCAA) in effluent after BACF was 70%. In field testing for re-treating the treated drinking water, we constructed a pilot plant (BACF- Hollow fiber membrane) connected with the effluent of rapid sand filter in a water treatment plant. The major works were including changing EBCT and HRT to study the removal of trace organics in water. Results showed the effective removal of THMs was performed at EBCT 50 min using BACF. We found the UF could avoid for biofilm leachate in effluent of BACF-UF. These findings can offer to protect the reaction of DPBs formation from biofilm release in drinking water. The BACF-UF system also could remove HAA about 80% in treated drinking water. And the removal of TOC and DOC were obtained to 28.11 ± 11.24% and 41.52 ± 11.10% respectively. The HAA levels were all controlled within 4.0-8.0 μg/L in effluent of BACF-UF. Jie-Chung Lou 樓基中 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW
