Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 電機工程學系研究所 === 102 === The controller design for a PFC boost converter is presented in this thesis. The design objective is to maintain a prescribed constant output voltage and reduce the input current distortion while correcting the power factor toward 1, with particular emphasis on the fast dynamic response under sudden change in load current. Two methods are utilized to achieve this end. One is the improved regulation band method, which combines a filter with a deadzone to make a controller insensitive to the inevitable output voltage ripple while still preserving a good capability of compensating for large output voltage variations. The other is an observer-based method, which makes use of a load current observer to detect the load change and offer instant information for the correction of the current command. For verification, the two methods are implemented on a DSP TMS320F28069 for controlling a 1.4 kW PFC boost converter.
