Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 資訊管理學系研究所 === 102 === Medical technology is well developed nowadays. Cancers have been the first cause of death for people. In preventive medicine, people must take regular health examinations to evaluate risk factors and thus avoid disease occurring. Major hospitals and health exam centers in Taiwan offer a lot of health examination items in their health examination packages. However, people often have difficulties in choosing the proper examination items. Most people compare packages by the items included in different packages with limited capabililty of making the right judgment or asking for advices from doctors. On the one hand, this may cause inappropriate or over use of health examinations that wastes medical resources and increases people’s cost. On the other hand, insufficient health examinations may increase the health risk. Consequently, how to put together appropriate personal health examination items is an issue that needs research.
The purpose of this study is to develop a knowledge-based system that can make recommendation of proper examination items for the user with high potential risk of having cancers. Knowledge engineering methods, including relavant information from websites of major hospitals and health exam centers and interviews were used to construct relevant knowledge of choosing health examination items. A prototype recommendation system for personal health examination items was developed and evaluated. It can assess the cancer risk and recommend proper items for examination based on information provided by the user.
