Description
Summary:博士 === 國立中山大學 === 資訊工程學系研究所 === 102 === This dissertation studies the improvement of network capacity and network throughput through well-designed channel assignment algorithms in multi-rate multi-channel wireless networks. We first model the maximizing network capacity problem and reduce the problem to the maximum weight independent set problem. Subsequently, the integer programming is applied to a smaller size of network to obtain the optimal solution for the comparison with our method. We propose some efficient channel assignment algorithms to maximize network capacity. The interference between higher and lower data rate links is a notorious factor against the improvement of network throughput in multi-rate wireless networks. We include the interference calculation to derive useful properties in achieving the maximum network throughput, and develop a linear-time channel assignment algorithm accordingly. Experimental results exhibit our algorithms are outstanding in both computing efficiency and solution quality.
