Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 政治學研究所 === 102 === Japan’s colonization on Taiwan for 50 years is still influencing all day life of Taiwanese. In the era of globalization the international cooperation and regional integration are the mainstream. The factors, like Japan''s economy has gone down for decade, the aggression by its militarism causing the Asian community huge damage in all respects, and the nowadays regional integration in East Asia, the national interests of the United States in this regard, China''s economic rise and the self-consciousness of &;quot;ASEAN&;quot; member countries as well as Japan’s policy to be a &;quot;normal country&;quot;, are challenging Japan, which was the only advanced industrial country in Asia, whether it could be as a leading power among other East Asian countries heading for successful integration in East Asia. In this thesis the evolution, status quo and controversy of Japan’s policy of regional cooperation in East Asia (1951-2011) will be analyzed with Neo-realism and Document Analysis Approach. Its consequence will be provided to Taiwan’s government for participation in relevant organizations for the East Asian regional cooperation.
