Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 生物機電工程系所 === 102 === This study modified the gold nanoparticles in multimode fiber sensing region, by incorporating Particle Plasmon Resonance (PPR) principle into Fiber Optic Particle Plasmon Resonance (FO-PPR) sensor. The sensitivity of this sensor was obtained by measuring the spectral wavelength shift and the change in absorbance and refractivity. The optical fiber used in this study adopted two sensing lengths (10 mm, 20 mm) for transmission and reflection PPR sucrose solution refractivity measurement. The reflection type used silver-bearing reflecting film as reflector. It was expected that the light reflection can enhance the multiple excitation PPR characteristic, so as to increase the sensitivity.
According to the findings, the average reflection sucrose solution refractivity of 10 mm and 20 mm sensing regions was -5.66/RIU and -6.58/RIU, and the transmission sucrose solution refractivity of 10 mm and 20 mm sensing regions average was -5.34/RIU and -5.88/RIU. The result showed that the 20 mm reflection FO-PPR sensor had good sensitivity, and the 20 mm reflection type was better than the transmission sensing result.
