Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 資訊管理系所 === 102 === As the technology advances and develops, the original type of the communication between people changes from “face to face” to be diversified and convenient. Mobile communication devices have been innovated continually, so we can stay in contact with our friends and families anytime and anywhere. On one hand, the real relationship of social network can be extended to internet social network through relevant information technology devices. Yet, on the other hand, people get used to the internet social network with multi information and free from time and space restrictions, so that people is getting away from the traditional communication model of “face to face”. People would prefer to use online social network through mobile phones for communication purpose even if the acquaintances eats at the same table or students at the same classroom. Real social network and internet social network both exist in our interpersonal relationship. Will it cause the conflicts between them? Or, will it bring influence to each other? What kind of relationship is showed between them is the main focus should be discussed in this study.
Students who major in MIS interact frequently to each other. They spend more time than other people to use the computers as well as the experience about the internet. When there’re announcements from the university and the contacts among students, it’ll be announced and communicated by face to face as well as through the internet social network. In a group of the acquaintances under the circumstance of real social network and online social network interaction at the same time, what kind of relationship of these two social networks will be presented is the main discussion in this research. Besides, as the targets of this research are students of four grades from MIS Department and students from each grade form an individual group, so the students are divided into four social networks for analysis and discussion purpose and compare the difference to each social network.
The case study method applied in this research is method of explored and explained the Questionnaire. UCINET 6.499 V. is applied to overall social network analysis.
The result of social network analysis shows MIS students from different grades interact differently. The freshmen are more interactive in the real social networks and the sophomores are more interactive in the internet social networks. The juniors and seniors shows that two types are more interactive in the real social networks and the other two are more interactive in the internet social networks.
