Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 生態休閒教育教學碩士學位學程 === 104 === The purpose of this research is to investigate the current situation of leisure activity participation and the sense of well-being of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City and to analyze the correlation between leisure activity participation and sense of well-being. Questionnaire survey method was used to collect information from participants. Purposive sampling was used based on 38 administrative districts in Kaohsiung City. 400 questionnaires have been sent and 392 were recycled with 98% recovery rate. 382 of them are effective. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 17.0 statistical software and tested by descriptive statistic, one-way MANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient. After analyzing all the data, the results reveal that: 1.The involvement in participating leisure activities of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City is below average. 2.Male teachers prefer dynamic activities while female teachers prefer static activities. 3.Gender and job positions of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City show significant difference of involvement in participating leisure activities. 4.The variables (e.g. age, length of service, the highest academic degree, school size, and school’s location) show no significant difference of involvement in leisure activity participation among teachers. 5.The degree of sense of well-being of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City is above average. 6.Marital status of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City and their school sizes show significant difference of the degree of sense of well-being. 7.There is no significant difference found between the sense of well-being of elementary teachers in Kaohsiung City and the variables (e.g. gender, age, length of service, job position, the highest academic degree and school’s location). 8.There is a positive correlation between leisure activity participation and sense of well- being of the elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung city.
