碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 視覺藝術學系碩士班 === 102 === Human beings can learn the fact of social complexity from gaming. Breakthroughs of video games not only give birth to new forms such as mobile and games in the night, they also create new social problems such as sexual harassment and smartphone addicts. These phenomena offer us new understanding of the negative impacts of video games on human behaviors. This study examines various aspects of video games by investigating the above mentioned phenomena. It scrutinizes the transformation of video game and the impacts of oil painting on three series: 「human life」、「city hunting」and「wallowing in pleasure」. This project explains how oil painting in these series presents the ideas of symbolism and surrealism. By repeating the procedures of dyeing, these video games demonstrate different forms of oil painting, especially the major use of dull color. On the one hand, the above mentioned series interact with informational technologies; on the other hand, they lose their original social values. This study targets to stimulate the audience from various backgrounds to rethink how creativity can be applied to the presentation of human life cycles, the negative impacts of social complexity, and last but not least, the nature of game.
