Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the coaches’ paternalistic leadership behaviors and team cohesion for players of tug of war in Kaohsiung elementary school. Besides, it is also to discuss the divergence and correlation between the coaches’paternalistic leadership behaviors and team cohesion in variety backgrounds. The research members were the students who participated 2013 Tug of War Games of Education Cup in elementary school. Datas were collected from 292 players, boys and girls included. This study adopted questionnaire survy, and the research tools included “Scale of Coaches’ Paternalistic Leadership Behaviors and Team Cohesion”. The main research was a questionnaire survey and total valid questionnaires were 288. The effective response rate was 98.6%. Descriptive statistics, single factor multivariate analysis of variance, canonical correlation was used to analyze the data. The conclusions resulted in the following: 1.In coaches’paternalistic leadership behaviors, players of tug of war in Kaohsiung elementary school percieved the highest score in benevolence leadership, secondly was in moral leadership, and the lowest score was in authoritarianism leadership. In team cohesion, players of tug of war in Kaohsiung elementary school percieved the highest score in team adaptation, secondly in team work, thirdly was in interpersonal congeniality and the lowest score was in interpersonal attraction. 2.There are significant differences in coaches’paternalistic leadership behaviors in the background of variables of joined team year, training days a week, and so on. 3.There are significant differences in team cohesion in the background of variables of trained days a week, training hours a day, and so on. 4.There was a significant correlation between coaches’ paternalistic leadership and team cohesion. Then there was a high correlation between benevolence leadership and team work.
