This study used narrative research approach and the data was collected by in-depth interview and analyzed in a 「Holistic-Content」 perspective. The conclusion was as follows: 1. Similarities of the two treatment patterns The process of the individuals from drug abuse to sustained full remission (1) Drug abuse was a poor coping method to adapt social living condition. When life alters、the behaviors of drug abuse will also be changed. For understanding the individual's behavior of drug abuse、we certainly can not ignore the overall context of his/her life. (2) The behaviors of drug abuse show cross-type addiction factors which strike influence on the complexity of drug abstinence. It is really hard to refuse to use the drug. A person’s abstinence from drug would not rely only on willpower but need to learn more life skills and competences. (3) The rehabilitate process of the drug abuse was the repetition of abstinence and relapse but they gradually stopped making a cycle. TC and methadone maintenance treatment of the rehabilitate process had their own differentiation. Failed experience of abstinence has its significance in rehabilitate. The process of rehabilitate is gradually accumulated by failed experience. (4) Study participants suggested self-help as the main core in the process of change for people with addiction treatment. They regard an individual as a major contributor in the course of treatment. (5) Exploring the factors of continued drug use and behaviors of relapse can help us see the needs behind the rehabilitate and therefore contribute to practical work. 2. Dissimilarities of the two treatment patterns The rehabilitater of Methadone maintenance therapy can not emerge the changes as follows: (1) The study participants who used methadone maintenance therapy experienced weak self-efficacy on heroin. When they were indicted for drug problems again、they would explicitly reject methadone maintenance therapy and insist on entering drug addiction therapeutic community. (2) In response to individuality、the abstinence method designed to suit individuals help them reach resilience. Therapeutic community not only restricts the behavior of drug abuse through interpersonal pressure in community、but also improves drug-abusers』 social adaptability. Therapeutic community with a critical influence on rehabilitate not only helps individuals abstain from drug but also maintain sustained full remission. (3) From the cognitive behavior therapy、the life treatment methods are implemented to drug addicts in the rehabilitation community. This is done by learning to self-enhance and adapting the social norms. They also learn to make a specific plan and actually act on a changed plan. Sound experience in preparation and action help them create clear goals and plans for the sustainable full remission. (4) Rehabilitation brings changes to the individual’s self-image. When rehabilitaters feel the difference、in turn、they become more capable of maintaining abstinence behavior. In the end、the study provided some suggestions for future research and practical work based on the conclusion of the study. HUANG, SU-YUN 黃素雲 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 145 zh-TW |

This study used narrative research approach and the data was collected by in-depth interview and analyzed in a 「Holistic-Content」 perspective. The conclusion was as follows:
1. Similarities of the two treatment patterns
The process of the individuals from drug abuse to sustained full remission
(1) Drug abuse was a poor coping method to adapt social living condition.
2. Dissimilarities of the two treatment patterns
The rehabilitater of Methadone maintenance therapy can not emerge the changes as follows:
(1) The study participants who used methadone maintenance therapy experienced weak self-efficacy on heroin.
