A Study of Relationship among Off-Campus Internship Counseling, Satisfaction, Effectiveness and Students' Carrier Choice------Take the Penghu Vocational High School Students as Example

碩士 === 國立澎湖科技大學 === 服務業經營管理研究所碩士在職專班 === 102 === Based on the situation of intellectual-economy innovation and the trend of decreasing birth rate, the vocational education faces the predicament of continuous management. In recent years, the government has actively promoted “Rebuild Case of Vocational Education” & “Developable Case of Industry-Academic Cooperation”, and this is mainly aimed at shortening the gap between vocational education and industrial need. Schools combine practices and theories by adopting extramural internship, making students “learn by doing”, which enables students to develop practical experiences and to learn professional skills. The purpose of this study is to explore the difference and relationship among internship counseling, internship satisfaction, internship effectiveness and students’ career choices. In order to meet the purpose, this study adopts questionnaire method. The subjects of this study are Penghu Marine Vocational High School students who attend the extramural course. There are 249 questionnaires delivered to the subjects, and 222 returned. The valid return rate is 89.2%. The results show that off-campus internship counseling, satisfaction, effectiveness and students' carrier choice of Penghu vocational high school students present the status of high-intermediate satisfaction. In addition, various departments have significant differences among internship counseling, satisfaction, effectiveness and students' carrier choice; various grades have significant differences among internship counseling, satisfaction, effectiveness; the rest of the personal characteristic variables have no obvious variations. Internship satisfaction significant positively affects internship effectiveness; internship counseling significant positively affects internship effectiveness; internship effectiveness significant positively affects students' carrier choice. Internship effectiveness is a fully mediator between internship satisfaction and students' carrier choice. Internship effectiveness is a partial mediator between internship counseling and students' carrier choice. According to the result given above, the research proposes different recommendations that focus on school, industry, government, students and future study.
