Studies on Embryonic Development and Juvenile Cultivation of Short-Necked Shell, Tapes literatus (Linnaeus, 1758)
碩士 === 國立澎湖科技大學 === 水產資源與養殖研究所 === 102 === Short necked shells, Tapes literatus, were used for observation of embryonic development and juvenile cultivation. Manipulated experiments of densities (750, 1500, 3000, 6000, 12000/m2), temperature (19, 22, 25, 28, 31oC) of cultivation and live microa...

Manipulated experiments of densities (750, 1500, 3000, 6000, 12000/m2), temperature (19, 22, 25, 28, 31oC) of cultivation and live microalgal feed categories (mixtures of Isochrysis galbana, Chaetoceros muelleri, Spirulina platensis and pure feeds of each) on the growth of the juvenile were also proceeded. The fertilized eggs, kept in water with temperature at 28℃ and salinity at 32psu, were developed into 2-cell stage in 1.5 hours, 4-cell stage in 4 hours, 8-cell stage in 6 hours, 16-cell stage in 8.5 hours, 32-cell stage in 10.5 hours, morula stage in 12 hours, blastula stage in 14 hours, trochophore stage in 17 hours, veliger (D-larvae) in 31 hours, pedi-veliger in 10 days, and settled juveniles in 25 days. Results showed that density treatment at 12000/ m2 seemed to be the upper limit with inferior growth rate. There were no significant differences between other density treatments. The result implied that density at 6000/ could be used for most economic cultivation of juveniles. As for the temperature treatment, growth rates of juveniles at higher temperature treatments (25 oC, 28 oC and 31 oC, showed no significant differences among) were significantly higher than other lower ones (19 oC and 22 oC). The pure feed of Spirulina platensis brought about worst growth. The mixtures of Spirulina platensis with any other microalgae caused significantly worse growth if compared to the other mixtures or pure feeds of microalgae. The other combinations were not significantly different with each other. Survival rates while exposed to acute salinity changes lower than 15 psu (10psu and 15 psu) dropped dramatically but showed mild decreases in higher salinities (35、40、45psu).
