Summary:碩士 === 南開科技大學 === 福祉科技與服務管理所 === 102 === The research by action research and in-depth interviews aims to discuss that how junior high school students to interact with their grandparents as a result of participating in service-learning programs for the elderly.For research purposes,the researcher and the strategic alignment who advocate Service Learning design a series of programs for the elderly so as to observe,survey and collect information when the junior high school students participate in.Then,the grandparents of participants who lived with their grandchildren of the programs based on qualitative research will be interviewed and collected information to understand their thoughts and changes of the relationship between the two generations. Findings of Research:First,changes before and after in the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren when the participants participate in the program:1.Before the program, grandparents usually play a role as authoritative caregivers,however,they become dependent on their grandchildren instead and adopt enlightened attitudes of discipline after the program.2.Before the program,the relationship of grandparents-grandchildren functional solidarity is based on instrumental support,and afterwards the ratio of the auxiliary emotional support is increased.3.Before the program , grandparents have a positive attitude to their grandchildren who don't trust them to the extent of the relationship of the effectual solidarity.Afterwards,the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren has been improved,and grandchildren become more positive.Second,reasons of participants explain what may changes the relationship:1.Services-Learning helps participants know the elderly better.2.Services-Learning helps participants improve their empathy. 3.Services-Learning helps participants be more patient.4.Services-Learning helps participants learn new skills. 5.Services-Learning helps participants have a positive attitude.6.Services-Learning helps participants grow fast. Third,participants response are positive and they are glad to see the promotion of Services-Learning. According to the conclusions of the research,the researcher proposes some suggestions for the education authorities, schools and teachers, community geriatric agency, respondents and subsequent researchers, and hopes it is useful to looking forward to a friendly elderly society by rooting in education and family. Let us create a society with non-discriminatory and closing to the elderly.
