Abstract The main purpose of this thesis is to study the awareness of principals’ conflict management and teachers’ job involvement in junior high schools, and understand the relationship of these two aspects. The thesis is using questionnaire as main method, and sampling from Kaohsiung junior high school teachers. Receiving 680 questionnaires back, and 624 of them are regarded as valid. After analyzing all the data by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis, the findings are as follow: 1. Junior high school teachers’ awareness to principals’ conflict management is regarded as middle level, and evaded conflict management is the highest awareness. 2. Junior high school teachers’ awareness to job involvement is regarded as middle level, and job concentration is the highest. 3. Teachers, who are working in schools of large scale, have higher awareness to principals’ conflict management. 4. Personal background variables do not make significant differences in teachers’ job involvement. 5. Teachers’ awareness of relationship in principals’ conflict management and teachers’ job involvement is positively correlated. 6. There is forecasting capability to awareness of principals’ conflict management in teachers’ job involvement, and cooperative conflict management has the highest forecasting capability. Based on the result of study, the thesis provides some recommendations to educational administrations and schools as the reference for future development.
