The research method in this study is survey research.The subjects were composed of 522 eleventh graders in public junior high schools in Kaohsiung and valid recovering rate is 95.9%. The tools applied in the research were “Scale of Teaching Beliefs”, “Scale of Emotional Intelligence” and “Scale of Teaching Efficacy”. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS software program, yielding the results through descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. This study had reached the following conclusions: 1. The mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City generally have high teaching beliefs, and they performed the best on knowledge and course. 2. The mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City generally have high emotional intelligence, and they performed the best on awareness of self-emotion. 3. The mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City generally have high teaching efficacy, and they performed the best on teaching tactics. 4. The mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City who graduate from a institute have better performance of the teaching efficacy. 5. The mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools whose class number is 49 or above in Kaohsiung City have better performance of the teaching efficacy. 6. The higher the teaching beliefs of mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City, the higher the teaching efficacy. 7. The higher the emotional intelligence of mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City, the higher the teaching efficacy. 8. The higher the teaching beliefs of mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City, the higher the emotional intelligence. 9. The teaching beliefs and emotional intelligence of mathematics domain teachers in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City predicts their teaching efficacy, and the student diversity is the key factor.
