Interviews with four people, which included a teacher with severe visual impairment, and her colleagues at school was used for data collection. Results of the study were following: 1. Emotional issues which happen in school could affect one’s career development plan. 2. Visual problems were not the only reason for career changes. 3. The personality of a teacher with a severe visual impairment had an impact on his or her career change progress. 4. Multi-aspect support systems played a role as an impetus for a severely visually impaired teacher’s career change. 5. Teachers with a severe visual impairment might adopt multiple strategies in accordance with the change of their career development. 6. A healthy mind was the only way to fight against one’s physical restrictions. 7. Class management was what a teacher with severe visual impairment needs more help with. 8. A visually impaired person might improve his or her professional ability to aim for higher education service. Finally, based on the conclusions and findings, this study offers practical suggestions for educationally related organizations, for the visually impaired, and provides future follow-up research for reference.
