Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 102 === A Study on the Relationship between Network Literacy and E-learning Willingness of Elementary School Teachers
Abstract
The purposes of this study was to understand the current status of network literacy and e-learning willingness of elementary school teachers, as well as to discuss the relations between the two factors through variance analysis in regard to different background variables.
The data were collected by conducting document analysis and surveys. 700 questionnaires were randomly sent to elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City. Among them, 594 questionnaires were valid with a retrieval rate of 93%. The results were analyzed by methods of descriptive statistics, independent-sample t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product moment correlation and multiple stepwise regressions. The major findings are as follows:
1. The achieved network literacy of elementary school teachers was above average. The performance of “Internet Application” was the best.
2. Their e-learning willingness was above average. The performance of “external motivation” was the best.
3. The network literacy varies according to gender, age, educational background, information background, work years, school size, average hours of surfing on the Internet and experience of using e-learning in classes.
4. The e-learning willingness varies according to their information background, work years, average hours of surfing on the Internet and experience of using e-learning in classes.
5. There is significant positive correlation between teachers’ “network literacy” and “e-learning willingness”.
6. “Software application”, “Internet ethics” and “knowledge of using Internet” among teachers exhibits positive predicative value to their e-learning willingness.
As a result, the conclusions can serve as reference for elementary school teachers, schools and other researches.
