Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 運籌管理研究所 === 102 === This thesis is inspired by a real world case, which is a fastener manufacturer that provides VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) service to a client that produces 3C products. In this case, the client will provide diversification EPO (Electronic Purchase Order) to the fastener manufacturer. However, whenever the client considers to switching fastener suppliers, the client usually switch a small lots of orders first for testing. If quality the small lots from another fastener manufacturer is well, the client will switch items of its whole product family to the new manufacturer. Demand quantities of items of its whole product family will be reduced suddenly in the EPO. The EPO information inputted into the fastener manufacturer’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in previous period may not be able to modified or cancelled immediately, because an ERP system is basically a forwarding calculation information system. This situation will yield many inventory management problems. In this study, a decision support module for ERP system is designed. It is a module embedded with Data Mining (DM) technology. By analyzing EPOs given from the client, correlations among demand items of the client would be detected, and the demand structure of the client would be established. Next time, when the client is considering to switching suppliers, the fastener manufacturer can detect the situation immediately through this decision support module, and the uncertainty of inventory control could be further reduced.
