Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 102 === Recently, combined Near Field Communication (NFC) technology with smart phones for micropayment is the trend in development of mobile payments. Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation therefore starts to integrate iPass system with NFC technology. However, the adoption of iPass NFC system is still not widespread despite its potential as documented. The main aim of this study is to explore: (1) the potential factors influencing consumer adoption of iPass NFC system and (2) how to transform Kaohsiung City to be an Ubiquitous City by using iPass NFC system. Premised on this, results of in-depth interviews and literature reviews were combined in this study. We extend the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with four additional constructs. Data collected from 256 respondents were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results revealed that perceived usefulness is a significant construct in predicting the intention to adopt NFC payment system. In order to enhance the quality of Kaohsiung City''s public services, this study also attempts to make recommendations on applying iPass NFC system into municipal construction. The findings of this study not only contribute to Information Technology field, but also contribute to devising marketing campaigns and business strategies by electronic card companies, mobile phone manufacturers, merchants, bank decision makers and governments.
