| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 應用日語研究所 === 102 === For this study, it is a contrast study of demonstratives between Chinese and Japanese by researching for the weakness of demonstrative’s functions. It is hoped that this investigation could clearly analyze the situation of the weakness which appeared in the demonstrative’s functions.
In order to clearly analyze the situation of the weakness which appeared in the function of demonstratives. First of all, “the conjunctions made of demonstratives”, “the interjections and the introductory particles which both made of demonstratives”, “the demonstratives used with personal pronouns” and “the demonstratives used in analogy” were selected as the researching objects. Second, in order to understand the demonstrative’s weakness phenomenon in these researching projects, analyzing relational dictionaries, previous literatures and collecting example sentences were selected as the research methods in this study.
The result of the study indicated that the function of demonstratives certainly has changed in “the conjunctions made of demonstratives”, “the interjections and the introductory particles made of demonstratives”, “the demonstratives used in analogy” and “the demonstratives used with personal pronouns” these four researching objects. However, although the function of demonstratives has changed, their direct function as nature still exists, but it has already been weakened.
It is hoped that this study, by examining the weakness of demonstrative’s functions, can make Chinese and Japanese native speakers or learners get a deeper understanding of demonstratives.
