The system included a high voltage device, an image acquisition platform and image processing software. Epipremnum pinnatum was treated with 6 types of plant stress respectively, including salt stress, acid stress, heavy metal pollution, drought, low temperature, and high temperature. The corona areas (in pixels) of the sample leaf was measured and compared. The results showed that the average corona area of a leaf sample with the diameter of 20 mm contained about 4.5*〖10〗^3±2.3% pixels under a normal condition, and the area was usually reduced for various stress conditions. The corona area of the sample under 24 hours of treatment of 100mM salt stress (NaCl), acid stress (H3PO4) and copper pollution (CuCl2) decreased by 15%, 18% and 38%, respectively, compared with that before the treatment. Similarly for 10mM NaCl, H3PO4 and CuCl2, the area reduced by 5%, 10%, and16%, respectively. Under the stress of drought, and low temperature, the area was reduced by 16% and 12%, respectively, while there was no difference in the area under the stress of high temperature. With this discharge visualization system, we have provided a fast and workable solution for identifying the status of plant under stress. Kai-Hsiung Hsu 許凱雄 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW
