Contemporary scholars, when discussing the history of the Spring and Autumn Annals in the Song dynasty, often consider Hu Ang-Guo as the successor of Cheng Yi in the study of the Spring and Autumn Annals. However, in the present days, Gao Kang has been regarded as another successor of Cheng Yi’s knowledge. Gao Kang’s Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn Annals is based on Cheng Yi’s the Chronicle of the Spring and Autumn Period, expounding his interpretations while lavishly adopting Cheng Yi’s commentaries on the Spring and Autumn Annals. However, the Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn Annals was lost in the middle of the Ming dynasty, and scholars of later generations were unable to explore the influence of Gao Kang on the studies of the Spring and Autumn Annals in the Song dynasty. It was fortunate that the Siku Guanchen collated and announced the official version of the Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn Annals, which allows modern scholars to take a peek at Gao Kang’s understanding of the book. This main purpose of this thesis was to tackle five problems: 1. This study analyzed the relationship between the interpretations of Gao Kang and Cheng Yi on the Spring and Autumn Annals, proved the connection between the two author, and revealed the differences between their interpretations. 2. Gao Kang’s interpretation was analyzed, and the preferred interpretations included “interpretation with historic events” and “interpretation with concepts.” 3. After discussing the distinct characteristics of Gao Kang’s interpretation, it was found that his core idea of “respecting the king” are what construct the arguments of the entire Spring and Autumn Annals. 4. This study attempted to explain the existing problems in Gao Kang’s work. 5. Flawed content in the Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn Annals was corrected, including the supplement of 90 commentaries from various authors. To conclude, the context of Gao Kang’s Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn Annals was discussed based on the aforementioned five problems, and this thesis expects to supplement the missing part of the studies of the Spring and Autumn Annals in Song dynasty. 劉德明 邴尚白 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 229 zh-TW
