Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育心理與諮商碩士學位在職進修專班 === 102 === This study aims to investigate the parenting stress of parents,social support,coping strategies with Tourette syndrome adolescents by semi-structured interviews with two morhers. The research method used in this study included depth interviews and narrative analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, the major findings are summarized conclusions are as follows:
Parenting stress connotation includes about (1) the initial of Tourette syndrome brings the height sense of pressure; (2) the change of family relationships, such as parent-child interaction conflict , spouses and family members did not support excessive care, etc.; (3) real-life difficulties continue, such as school adaptation and external strange looks like, etc.
In the aspect of social support,The results found that mothers with Tourette syndrome adolescents use social support includeing(1) good doctor-patient relationship and a clear medical information;(2) spouse support and assistance; (3)economic income stability leave without pay system;(3)inclusive schools and teachers certainly;(5)inclusive schools and teachers certainly ;(6)a rich and diverse social support;(2) use depending on Tourette's syndrome symptoms and time different. Mothers may use emotional support, informational support, and insructional support in the same time during coping stress.
The study concluded that, Mothers with Tourette's syndrome adolescents choose to take appropriate coping strategies depending on their sources of stress. Parenting stress of coping strategies have some stages, includeing (1) priority to the initiative in response to problem solving and seeking social support coping strategies parental stress; (2)taking appropriate coping strategies depending on the sources, categories of stress;(3) Self-awareness and education and evaluation of stressful events in a positive manner is the best coping strategies of parenting stress.
At last, according to the finding of this study, it is expected that the reminding and suggestions are useful for other mothers with Tourette syndrome adolescents , related caring staff, and future researchers.
