| Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學 === 戰略研究所 === 102 === The purpose of this study is to analyze the PLA’s cyber strategy as a conceptual examination through the strategic values of cyberspace which are proposed in this research. Historically, the development of military technology may be divided into three eras: cold weapons, firearm weapons and modern military technology. The impact of military technology on PLA’s RMA has been explored respectively. Methodologically, the Rational Choice Approach was also used to analyze the process of shaping PRC’s cyber strategic thinking based on the consideration to the national security and interests, as well as the strategic value in cyberspace by PLA’s leadership. Finally, this study makes a further analysis regarding the contents of the theory of the PLA’s cyber strategy to predict the developing directions in the future. In addition, the cyberspace, a strategic fortress in many countries due to the developing framework and widespread utilization, possesses the strategic value beyond many spheres and extending effects, along with the important causes to affect national security. For these reasons, PLA has been developed its cyber strategic thinking by combining Asymmetric Warfare, Cyber Deterrence and Integrated Network Electronic Warfare as a whole.
