Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防醫學院 === 公共衛生學研究所 === 102 === Evidence-based recommendations indicate that smoking is a risk factor in various diseases and deaths. Smoking has been an important health issue for everybody. Ministry of Health and Welfare and Ministry of National Defense (MND), committed to promoting Tobacco Control Program, are expected to create a “smoke-free military”. A quasi-experimental research design was conducted on military participants at the smoking cessation clinic of military general hospitals. The data were collected through a self-structured questionnaire. Effectiveness of smoking abstinence were collected by telephone follow-ups. The effectiveness, smoking abstinence rate, and reducing cigarettes of the intervention group are better than the control group (p<0.001). Number of visiting significantly effected on effectiveness during the first month (p=0.022). The intervention group thought themselves more healthy (p=0.02) and more important in smoking abstinence (p=0.013). The improving number of visiting is an important factor. Besides, improving motivation of smoking abstinence and providing the corresponding strategies to deal with stressors are also important.
