Summary: | 碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 藝術創意產業學系 === 102 === The present study is A Study on Green Life Art Curriculum and Instruction for Elementary School’s Students . The subject, named ‘Loving Campus, Green Life Art at Chung Zhen’, is based on Green Life Art Curriculum Development and Implementation Project initiated by Professor Hsiu-Chu Hsu, and School Art and Humanitarian Course Teaching and Promotion Project announced in school year 2010 by Department of Education in Hau-Lien County Government. The study investigated students in the fifth grade classes. The curriculum aims to guide students to observe and care about school environment continuously, to combine environmental and life education into green life art curriculum, to train students’ perceptiveness and understanding of changing phenomenon in the living environment, to guide students to explore the beauty of objects with life-caring aspect, and to elaborate all aspects that students care in their life. The study processes were followed as reference discussion, data collection, curriculum development, implementation and promotion, campus green life art exhibition and evaluation.
The investigator discussed with green life art team, included primary school teachers and community residents, in the Strategic Alliance Conferences. By action, observation, reflection, to amend the developed curriculum, and trying several teaching materials and methods to collect data from meeting records, reflection notes, taking pictures and filming in the classrooms. The major findings of the study are; (1) The feasibility of combining environmental and life issues into the art curriculum. (2) The art curriculum promoted the accomplishments of indicators of environmental education and life education. (3) The campus green life art curriculums increased performances of cross-subjects among students.
The results of the study lead schools to develop the beauty of art from creation of the green life art. It is expected that to beautify the campus environment with the green life art approaches attract students to care and protect the school, and cherish their lives.
