Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 特殊教育學系 === 102 === This is a study on the application of the Barcode Scanner and Positive Feedback to aid two Junior High School students who are suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) follow instructions. The experiment Subjects were two Junior High School students with ADHD were following the voice orders from a computer and used a barcode scanner to perform the correct tasks, by giving the positive feedback stimulations to encourage students willing to follow instructions, and to optimize learning efficiency. A multiple-probe design across individuals of a single subject design was adopted in this study and divided into four stages:the baseline phase (A), the intervention phase (B) , the maintenance phase (M), and the generalization phase(A’). The results of this study shows the significant improvement of instructions completed by Subject A within 5 minutes from the baseline phase (A) by 9.67 times to the intervention phase (B) 33.55time, the maintenance phase (M) by 29.67 times and the generalization phase(A’) by 34 times; instructions completed by Subject B within 5 minutes from the baseline phase (A) by 10.33 times to the intervention phase (B) 33.45 time, the maintenance phase (M) by 31.33 times and the generalization phase(A’) by 35.33 times. The visual analysis of four experiment phases were p<.01. The results of this study confirmed that the instruction-following skills of two Subjects were improved by using the Barcode Scanner and Positive Feedback measures.
