碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 企業管理學系 === 102 === In an age of a global village and internationalism, trade exhibitions and participating private sectors are developing gradually and widely around the world. They can not only improve a country’s competitiveness but also enhance the depth and width of economic development in a certain area. The research mainly focuses on major factors in choosing international exposition sites for export manufacturers. Therefore, it can helpfully advise enterprises on expanding overseas in the future. The dissertation uses qualitative research method to interview several experienced professionals, taking different factors into consideration when participating in overseas exhibitions. In-depth interview not only gathers actual and a great amount of information but enables those interviewees to answer questions deeply in a familiar environment. Hence, the researcher can receive real opinions from them thoroughly and comprehensively. The research analyzes the professionals’ interviews and summarizes the reasons why they choose those exposition sites to differentiate various factors for different sectors. Moreover, the research results can provide enterprises with guidelines for choosing exhibition sites. According to various factors for different private sectors, there are several common essentials concluded as followed: close to markets, cost reasons, and visibility enhancements. Therefore, the analysis may advise following researchers to emphasize on the topics related to site choices.
