The relationships among the configuration of business group’s affiliates composition, hierarchical status of group-affiliate, and performance

Taiwan’s economic grow up quickly and large business groups extend fast and play a dominant role in Taiwan’s economy. Therefore the performance of diversified business groups gained increased attention in academy research, and has became a central research topic in management literatures. The empirical results found that the business group’s concentrative configuration is positively associated with group profitability; the group-affiliated company’s hierarchical status and included period are significantly positive impact performance. Furthermore, there is no significantly impact among related-diversification and performance. Finally, group-affiliated company’s included period negative moderate the relations between the hierarchical status and performance. Related-diversification positive moderate the relations between the hierarchical status and performance.
