Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 數理教育研究所 === 102 === The purpose of this research was to explore the cognition and the relation between the knowledge and attitude about education of sustainable development (ESD) of the junior high school students by using survey research. This research also demographic the ESD conceptual differences of the students with different background variables, and made an integrated research conclusions. By using “Sustainable Development questionnaire in junior high school student”, the data were collected from questionnaire survey and the subjects included 1127 junior high school students in Chiayi city. The results are as following.
1.Both the mean of knowledge and attitude scores about ESD in junior high school student are above the middle.
2.The correlation between the knowledge and attitude scores about ESD in junior high school student is significant positive(r=.366, p<.01).
3.The students’ knowledge about ESD: there were significant differences on academic achievement and the times to participate in environmental activities.
4.The students’ attitude about ESD: there were significant differences on gender, academic achievement and the times to participate in environmental activities.
5.There exists an interaction between the school size and the school location. As for the representation of knowledge or attitude about ESD, eastern small and medium school is better than western one. And the western large school is better than small and medium school.
