Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 輔導與諮商學系研究所 === 102 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the different standard settings for setting cut-off scores, which based on the great reliability and validity of the Adult Mental Health Scale (AMHS). The researcher invited the counseling psychologists and clinical psychologists to establish and compare the raw and weighted scores. To set cut-off scores, the ways of Z, ROC and IRT,were implemented in this study and validated by Kappa, AUC and Logistic of the standard settings on internal and external criterion from AMHS and BDI-II, respectively.The results of the study are stated as follows:(a) The raw scores and weighted scores in AMHS provide different meanings, and the items are representative that can especially provide counseling experts to notice. (b)The cut-off scores by the way of Z and ROC are similar, which can divide into six different extent level.(c) AMHS cut-off scores by the way of IRT not only can identify mental health,but also can select high risk of adults. (d)After testing and calculating the index of validity, the way of IRT can be applied to select purpose, whereas the ways of Z and ROC can depend on the extent level to proceed the comprehensive menal health assessments and evaluations.
Based on the results and discussions of the study, the study presented concrete suggestions for survey applications and future research, which can serve as reference for professional counseling experts.
