Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 企業管理學系 === 102 === This study modifies largely DeLone and McLean’s Information Systems (IS) Success Model (2003) by adding emotional attachment as an antecedent and post-use behavior intentions as a final dependent to form a new cognitive and emotional model which is used to evaluate the success of social networking website. 410 undergraduates who have ever used Facebook are interviewed. And this study adopts a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach to examine the proposed model and the associated hypotheses. This study arrives at the following results: (1) Both information system quality and emotional attachment all have positive effects on post-use behavior intentions, (2) Information system quality related to cognition aspect affects post-use behavior intentions only through user satisfaction as a mediator. However, emotional attachment related to emotional aspect not only directly affects post-use behavior intentions but also indirectly affects post-use behavior intentions through user satisfaction as a mediator. The effect of emotional attachment on post-use behavior intentions is greater than information system quality does. (3) The model of this study verifies this fact, “technology always derives from humanity”. Differing from DeLone &; McLean’s (2003) research and conclusion on business information system website, with regard to social networking website, the operator should pay more attention on users’ emotional attachment on this website besides the consideration of the importance of information system quality proposed by DeLone &; McLean (2003). That is because users’ emotional attachment on social networking website can lead to higher loyalty and word of mouth on the website than information system quality does and finally results in the long-term success of social networking website.
