Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 運動學系 === 102 === This study was focus on the expecting value of professionalizing badminton in Taiwan and the plan of holding an international badminton competition in Taiwan. Based on various personal backgrounds of badminton players, the study wanted to find out whether there was any difference between expecting value and the development of organization business. Moreover, it tried to discuss the opinion about holding the international badminton competition. The subjects for this study consisted of 401 badminton participants involved in the first national badminton tournament and 20 people who are related to badminton or scholars as participants. “Questionnaire of the expecting value of professionalizing badminton in Taiwan” and “Interview outline of holding international professional badminton competition” are the research tools. Descriptive statistics, Independent sample t test and ANOVA analysis were used in this study. The results show that participants that are involved with badminton agree with the economical, sports educational, political, and social benefits of professionalizing badminton in Taiwan. As for the results of interview, the future plan of promoting professional badminton competition in Taiwan can consult the constitution of golf or tennis. Not only for the qualification of athletes, also the competing standard, wild card system and replacement mechanism. The regulations of the competition can take the mode of club league, and promote team games. On the other hand, in order to attract excellent players from all over the world, increasing price for players and combine local tourism are all good strategies. As a result, professionalizing badminton in Taiwan is beneficial to us in the aspect of economic, sports education, politic and society. Moreover, it can come up with great suggestion for holding professional badminton completion in the future and take badminton sports in our country to next milestone.
