Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系所 === 102 === The purpose of this research was to investigate the association between evaluation concerns, social anxiety and distress disclosure tendency of high school students. This study discuss a model in which the social anxiety mediated the relationships between evaluation concerns and distress disclosure tendency. And gender differences in evaluation concerns, social anxiety and distress disclosure tendency were discussed in present study. The sample consisted of 640 high school students, was recruited by purposive sampling method. The instruments used in this study included “Distress Disclosure Index ”, “Social Interaction Anxiety Sacle”, “Social Phobia Scale” and “Need for Approval Sacle”, which is the subscale of Perfectionism Inventory. The empirical data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and Structural Equation Model. The findings of this study were as follows:
1. Distress disclosure tendency of high school students is moderately. And gender difference is significant on distress disclosure tendency that reveals female students are higher than males.
2. Social anxiety of high school students is moderately low. And gender difference is significant on Social anxiety that reveals male students are higher than females.
3. Evaluation concerns of high school students is moderately. And gender difference is no significant on evaluation concerns.
4. Evaluation concerns have positive direct effect on social anxiety and distress disclosure tendency. Social anxiety has negative direct effect on distress disclosure tendency. But, evaluation concerns have negative indirect effect on distress disclosure tendency by social anxiety. Social anxiety has partial mediation between evaluation concerns and distress disclosure tendency.
Based on the results of this study, some suggestions for high school teachers, helping workers and researchers are recommended.
