And the heat of sunlight, concentrating in the room during summer time, causes the demand of air conditioning. Moreover, the shading effect of ferroconcrete blocks most of the sunlight and makes interior lighting insufficient, thus more lighting equipments are required. Therefore, the construction of Glass Mazu Temple is proposed in this study to perform the most unique character of glass art in the world and to attract more tourists visiting the Chang-Pin area, the location of Glass Mazu Temple, for local prosperity with more business and career opportunities. The glass temple, mainly constructed by glass, also features the character of transparency, ventilation and heat insulation for the purpose of energy conservation. At day time, the lighting through glass is totally applied in the whole temple for the pursuit of brightness. At night time, the moon light is also utilized to create a spectacular romantic effect for visitors and to reduce the consumption of illumination. As to thermal effect, because of heat absorbing function of ferroconcrete, the interior heat is hard be evaporated in summer time. To keep the space comfortable, the installation of air conditioners is required. However, the facility expense and electric bills with enormous energy consumption not only increase extra loading for the tight temple budget, but also goes against the trend of energy conservation. In the study, the applied glass, which features light transmission and heat/radiation insulation, can solve the previous problem of heat dissipation and lighting. As to the energy and illumination control of glass temple, the electric consumption is analyzed by calculating the lighting usage, the quantity and time of electric consumption. The variables of visitors, festivals, sunny weather, cloudy weather, daytime, dusk, night time and midnight are all considered to investigate the practical implementation of energy saving. Finally, in addition to attracting visitors, the glass temple comprises the character of conventional temple and the benefit of energy saving and carbon reduction. 陳財榮 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 201 zh-TW
