Moreover, Taiwan has top three ranking in the international Kendo tournament. However, operating Kendo Dojo is never an easy task in Taiwan. Compare to other martial arts with short history, the population of Kendo is lesser than others. There are still some Kendo Dojos run the business for more than decades although operating Kendo Dojo is difficult in Taiwan. This research aimed to explore the Key Success Factor (KSF) of operating Kendo Dojo in Taiwan through the in-depth interview. Once we know the CSF of operating Kendo Dojo, we can concentrate limited time and resources to enforce the management of Kendo Dojo. Therefore, the business of Kendo will be developed and grow up prosperously in the future. The results of this research: Clear and fine teaching system is the key to the operating of Kendo Dojo. The fine system can induce the productivity and improve the quality of teaching. (If Kendo Dojo has no clear and fine teaching system will lead to big obstacle in both management and teaching.) Wood floor is an essential equipment to the Kendo Dojo. Wood floor has a huge influence on practice safety, professionalism and the learning willingness of students. The quality and training of Kendo mentors is an important point to the long term operating Kendo Dojo. If these mentors’ technique and the knowledge of Kendo are not improving persistently, the quality of teaching and the reputation of Kendo Dojo will decrease. The mentors from the Kendo Dojo go to school clubs to teach Kendo cannot increase the income and students of the Kendo Dojo.
