Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 復健諮商研究所 === 102 === The purpose of this study explored level activities of daily living, self-efficacy, social support and social participation for people with spinal cord injury (SCI). In addition, the relationships among these factors and the predictors of social participation were explored as well. The research used the questionnaire survey procedure. The convenience sampling was used to collect data. All 135 participants with SCI in the mid-Taiwan. Measures included demographic data, the Barthel Index, the Chinese version of the Moorong Self-Efficacy Scale (MSES), the Social Support Scale and the Social Participation Scale. The statistical methods used to analyze the data were descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way-ANOVA, Person’s product moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings in this study were as follows: 1. The scores obtained from Social Participation scale indicated moderate level of participation. 2. Variables of income, activities of daily living, self-efficacy, social support correlated significantly with social participation. 3. The most important explanatory factors of social participation among people with SCI were self-efficacy and income; these factors explained 37.3% of the total variation. 4. Self-efficacy mediated the effects of activities of daily living and social support on the social participation. The results from this research may facilitate healthcare professionals in learning SCI social participation and other associated matters by enhancing SCI individuals ability in self-efficacy, employment, social support and activities of daily living independence to increase the level of social participation in SCI.
