| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 102 === In this research, the mainly research objects are the foreign spouses from Southeast Asia who live in Changhua County, Taiwan. And the survey objects are the foreign spouses’ husband and family members. This research is done from the viewpoints of their family members. The purpose of this research is to explore the situations of their adaptation to family life and parenting, and then analyze the relationship between these two kinds of situations.
This research was conducted by survey in which the self-made “questionnaire on the situation that foreign spouses integrating into their family life in Taiwan and their parenting” was used as the measuring tool. The sample comprised the family members of the foreign spouses from Southeast Asia who live in Changhua County. The survey data were analyzed by using statistical methods including descriptive statistics, frequency distribution and percentage, the number of variance and Pearson product moment correlation.
According to the purpose of this research, the results are as follows:
1.In terms of culture custom and social discrimination, the foreign spouses’ adaptation to their family life has more problems.
2.In terms of language ability and schoolwork tutoring, the foreign spouses’ adaptation to parenting has more problems.
3.The better the foreign spouses’ mother tongue ability is, the better their adaptation to their family life and parenting.
4.The mother tongue ability of the foreign spouses’ children is generally poor, and they have more difficulty in learning a mother tongue.
5.A positive correlation exists between the foreign spouses’ adaptation to their family life and their parenting.
