During the Japanese occupation, due to the policy of Japan, Shanghai's modern fashion, and the new concept of the West, women began moving away from the traditional boudoir space. They started go out, study, experience free love and social life, dress themselves and wear stockings, let hair curly and short for fashion, wear high heels. This is the standard looks of "the new woman". In "Fong Yueh Tabloid", in response to novels, essays, poetry, plays, such as different types of literature. The students, waitress, and actress was described differently. Popularization of education enlarged the presence of female students. The rise of coffee shops in the city streets let dressed waitress become a popular women's career. Actress turned to indoctrination tool, because the decline of new drama.
