Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 電信工程研究所 === 102 === OFDM has been proposed to be a modulation technique in 60GH band. As known, this band is suffering from high path loss, high penetration loss, and other problems. Recently, hybrid antenna array has been proposed to alleviate these problems. This thesis aims to develop throughput enhancement techniques with hybrid antenna arrays. First, we propose a beamforming method taking multiple transmission paths (instead of one) into considerations. This method can reduce the performance loss due to erroneous beam-matching. Then, we propose an L-shaped antenna array and develop a simple yet effective two-dimensional localization scheme, which is extended to three-dimensional. Finally, we propose a scheduling scheme that can conduct parallel transmission to maximize system capacity in multiple user environments. Simulations show that the proposed methods can greatly enhance the throughput of 60GHz OFDM networks.
